Indonesia is the sixth-largest cocoa bean producer in the world (ICCO, 2022). Interestingly, 99.44% of Indonesia's cacao production was from smallholders instead of the government or private estates (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2021).

This 3-day tour (from the pick-up in Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport back to the airport again) will illuminate participants on the state of cacao farms owned by smallholders in South Sulawesi. Designed to be more technical, it will give participants chances to interact with local farmers and understand the current statistics of cacao production in South Sulawesi and Indonesia. Besides that, the tour will cover sustainability issues and problems farmers face.
